“Legends of The Green Parrot” Guitar to be Auctioned off to Benefit AIDS Help

Posted On:

Friday September 8th from 4 to 7 P.M. The Green Parrot bar will again
host Tradesman’s and Tradeswoman’s Appreciation Day which each year
features a raffle to benefit AIDS HELP.
As a special addition to this year’s fundraiser, to be auctioned off will be a “Legends of The
Green Parrot” Fender Stratocaster, donated by Tim Wegman of Caroline
Street Music and autographed by virtually all the musicians who have
appeared at the Parrot over the past year, including late Grateful
Dead keyboardist Vince Welnick, Duwayne Burnside of the North
Mississippi All stars, Brian Stoltz of The Funky Meters, legendary
Chicago blues drummer Sam Lay and many, many more.
This year’s event is being billed as an “All Candidates Fundraiser
for AIDS Help, Inc.” and as such all sales revenues of Tradesman
merchandise and all monies raised selling raffle tickets for prizes
generously donated by other local businesses will go to all candidates
for King and Queen of Fantasy Fest.

Pictured here with the “Legends of The Green Parrot” guitar is Helene
Shanley, Manager of Parrotphenalia, the Green Parrot retail store
where raffle tickets can be purchased and the signed guitar will on
display daily until the September 8th raffle. Don’t miss this chance
to win piece of Green Parrot memorobilia and American music history
while helping one of our town’s most deserving charities.
