As a small, no-cover venue at the end of the road, the Green Parrot seems to be punching above its weight yet again as jam/funk/fusion heavyweights Tim Palmieri and Friends make their highly-anticipated appearance
With Tim Palmieri from Lotus, prominent in the national jam scene for his aggressive and improvisational guitar style, Robert Somerville from Deep Banana Blackout and Kung Fu, Beau Sasser from Kung Fu and Beau Sasser’s Escape Plan, and Michael Garrie, from Antelope and DeadPhish Orchestra this seasoned ensemble from New England reads like a late-night summer festival all-star jam!
With band members having appeared here in a number of past configurations, (Kung Fu, Z3, Beau Sasser’s Escape Plan) and now Tim Palmieri and Friends, this powerhouse quintet’s live show can only be described as “explosive”!
As a testament to that, many Parrot fans will recall that on various band-members previous visits here our audience was treated to seismic, jaw-dropping sets with intricacies and levels of musicianship that left many of the Key West musicians in attendance shaking their heads in disbelief.
These shows are must-see events.
