October 26 @ 5:30 pm - 12:30 am

Colin Davis and The Night People

The Green Parrot “Who Dat” Party with John “Papa” Gros !

The Green Parrot has become legendary in particular  for its solid reputation as THE Key West home of great live music while at the same time has long been favorably compared to many of the most famous live music venues of New Orleans. Compared not just for its live music but also for its air of celebration and as a far-flung bastion of New Orleans “Who Dat” culture and festivity and its joyful  embrace of “Laissez les bon temps rouler” or “Let The Good Times Roll”.
Join us here with shows at 10 p.m and midnight on Tuesday, October 25th for one very special night of New Orleans culture as Colin Davis and Night People leads the crowd in a chant of “Who Dat” and  turns our Key West intersection of Southard and Whitehead into the  intersection of  NOLA Funk and  R & B!

The Parrot as always is chock full of rich culture and vibrant costumes, so while costumes of any color combination are a part of any festive Mardi Gras party, purple, green and gold are the traditional Mardi Gras colors so we invite you to dress up accordingly as you come and help us stir the Gumbo at our New Orleans’ “Who Dat” Party!

Colin Davis and Night People is a concept band specializing in classic New Orleans funk and soul music,as well as an expanding repertoire of original material influenced by the treasured artists of the Crescent City. After working the New Orleans music scene as a side man in various projects for fifteen years, drummer/producer Colin Davis formed the band in 2017. Recently, CDNP has been hard at work writing and recording original material, developing a unique, hard hitting new sound ready to be shared with the fans we have missed so much! The repertoire also includes, but is not limited to, the genius of Allen Toussaint, Lee Dorsey, Dr. John, The Meters, Irma Thomas, Earl King, Ernie K-Doe, Willie Tee, Chocolate Milk and many more! Our guiding principle is to infuse the work of these legendary New Orleans artists with our own musical passion and style. Our mission is to move your musically, emotionally, physically to celebrate together a shared and uniquely American New Orleans musical heritage.
