Blues Music Awards 2012 Band of The Year Nominee to Play at The Green Parrot
The sibling-blues trio and International Blues Challenge First Place winners Trampled Under Foot will appear at The Green Parrot with shows at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14, and 5:30 and 10 p.m. on Thursday, March 15.
Trampled Under Foot arrived in Memphis for the 2008 International Blues Challenge followed by huge, wildly enthusiastic throngs of hometown supporters, eager to cheer for their favorite musical family. And when TUF took First Place in the competition and Nick won the Albert King guitarist award, it was a sweet victory for the Schnebelen family and for Kansas City itself.
TUF has been on a roll ever since, this year being nominated for Three Blues Music Awards, Band of the Year, Best DVD and Best Instrumentalist – Bass and becoming popular repeat headliners at clubs, festivals and cruises around the world as well as featured as the cover story of the next Blues Revue magazine, the world’s largest blues publication.
