Charles Kaczynski Brings Gypsy Jazz Violin to The Parrot
World-renowned violinist/composer Charles Kaczynski will present an evening of Gypsy Jazz in the style of gypsy jazz greats Stephane Grapelli and Django Reinhardt.
Gypsy jazz, also known as gypsy swing or hot club jazz, is a style of jazz music said to have been started guitarist Jean “Django” Reinhardt in the 1930s, largely in France.
Kaczynski, from Montreal, has performed all over the world and for the last several years has toured internationally with Circe Eloize, allowing Charles even greater opportunities to provide musical highlights all over the globe. He will be accompanied on guitar by Key West multi-instrumentalist Tim McAlpine and Chief Billy as upright bass player.
