Bryan Lee at Green Parrot

Legendary Bourbon Street Bluesman Bryan Lee will make his first Green Parrot appearance on Thursday and Friday, January 26th and 27th, beginning at 10 PM, with a special 5 PM ‘sound check” on Friday afternoon.
For years a NOLA fixture and often the only blues band visitors to New Orleans would hear was vocalist/guitarist Bryan Lee at the Old Absinthe House on Bourbon Street.
Blind since childhood, his style never really strayed from his mid-west sensibilities, making him the most Chicago-sounding band in town .
Wearing his trademark black top hat and his long chin beard, blending his smoking Chicago-style blues guitar with hip New Orleans’ nuance, Lee and his Jump Street Five played five nights a week at that popular bar, developing a huge following and a solid reputation.
For brilliant blues guitar and soul-filled vocals don’t miss “The Braille Blues Daddy” this Thursday and Friday at the Green Parrot, your Southernmost Center for Blues Culture on the corner of Southard and Whitehead Streets. For more information call 294-6133.
