Rising Star Eric Lindell Brings His Dive-Bar Credibility Back to the Parrot stage

Fresh from a show-stopping performance on Conan O’Brian just two weeks ago and always a favorite here, Eric Lindell brings his Blue-eyed Soul, Blues, Boogie and Romping New Orleans R & B back to The Parrot on Thursday and Friday, April 3rd and 4th.

Smoldering New Orleans R & B singer/songwriter Eric Lindell , who has
taken the talent-heavy New Orleans club scene by storm, and whose
the release of “Change in The Weather”, an album whose completely
original, roosty, funky music and hook-filled, cliche-free songs seems
ready to launch Lindell into the musical mainstream brings his
dive-bar credibility back to the Parrot stage for a funky, rootsy
two nights on Thursday and Friday, April 3rd and 4th beginning at 10 PM and including a 5:30 “soundcheck” on Friday afternoon.
For seven years, Eric Lindell, a New Orleans transplant by way of
California, steeped his blues-rock in Crescent City soul, charting his
rapid progression via a half-dozen independent releases and countless
nights in small clubs.
Somebody finally noticed: Alligator Records, the storied Chicago blues
label, cherry-picked the 14 best cuts from Lindell’s indie output,
remastered them and re-released them as “Change in the Weather,” his
national debut. Essentially a Lindell greatest hits, “Change In the
Weather” shines a flattering light on his irresistible soul/rhythm and
