The Green Parrot beverage Academy is a monthly mixology class sponsored by The Green Parrot and Premier Beverage that focuses on essential cocktails, seasonal classics, mixology tips, and trends in Cocktail Culture.
The latest installment of The Green Parrot Beverage Academy, “Simple Summer Sensations”, was held on Thursday, June 19th, The theme being, hen it’s hot outside, cocktails should be both effective and effortless so this month’s featured items are “cool and easy” alternatives featuring the newest Bacardi Fusions… Mango and Pineapple. The St. Augustine hand-crafted sugar-cane Vodka in a Mojitos, and Easy Barefoot Sangria.
We had representatives from the Southernmost Beach Cafe, Conch Republic Seafood, Ricks, 801, the Lazy Gecko, and La Te Da. A well-rounded group that truly enjoyed tasting new flavors and learning about new products. We came up with some great recipes.
We took Barefoot Bubbly Berry Fusion ( a new product ) mixed with Bacardi Pineapple Fusion- this was served over ice and super refreshing!
Bacardi Mango with muddled watermelon and mint, splash of soda…. WOW!!!!!! This is light and refreshing and we all decided could be on huge rocks or in a martini. Also, Bacardi Limon with muddled mint and blackberries…another great choice for a martini.
St. Augustine Vodka…made from sugar cane was a smooth clean surprise for people! They enjoyed this product neat and chilled and in a flavored Mojito. This was a great introduction for a new product.
Everyone attending loved the new Bacardi flavors and agreed the smooth fresh tastes were great summer products.
