Last evening before dinner I opened an old Sunday Times magazine to a story on the daiquiri and how accessible it was: Rum, Citrus, Sugar.

Well it struck a chord, my pantry seemed up to the task and I dug up the Bacardi light, a ruby red grapefruit, the limes  and some luxardo maraschino and as well
